A guide to spreading floral kindness and joy, one flower at a time.
The Lonely Bouquet is a global movement that encourages people to spread joy by leaving small bouquets of flowers in public places for strangers to find, with a note inviting them to "adopt" the bouquet.
Create a small bouquet – hand-tied or in a jar/vase.
Attach a note or tag saying something like: "Hello! I'm a Lonely Bouquet. Please take me home and enjoy me!" (You can use lonelybouquet.com to add your bouquet and create tags)
Leave it in a public place – a park bench, bus stop, or shop doorstep.
Optional: Share a photo on Lonelybouquet.com or social media using #LonelyBouquet.
International Lonely Bouquet Day is celebrated on the last Sunday in June each year. However, you can create and release Lonely Bouquets at any time of the year! Kindness is always in season.
Anyone! You don’t need to be a florist or have fancy flowers. Individuals, schools, flower shops, and community groups are all welcome to join.
Example messages include: "Please adopt me – I’m a Lonely Bouquet and I’d love a new home!" "Take me, I’m yours! Just a little floral cheer to brighten your day."
You can include social tags or contact info if you'd like feedback.
Yes! Sharing your bouquet helps spread the word and inspire others. Use hashtags like #LonelyBouquet or tag relevant floral communities.
To brighten someone’s day with a random act of kindness, promote community connection, and share the joy of flowers with others.
You're encouraged to take it home and enjoy it! Some bouquets include a note inviting you to share your story online, but there’s no pressure.
